Holiday Celebrations Poultry Brine

It’s also a great base for additions like citrus, maple syrup, bourbon, or herbs.

Instructions: One bottle of the holiday brine to a gallon of water. Bring to a simmer, place warm liquid into brining container. Add a 6 quarts of ice to warm liquid, let ice completely melt, whisk ice around in liquid. Add turkey to brine for at least 8 hours. Remove turkey, dry off and season. Let seasoning rest on turkey for at least 15 minutes. Place turkey in recteq and smoke.
