Smoked Chipotle Tri-Tip

Instructions
- Step 1: Mix together all of the ingredients for the marinade and add in the Tri-Tip.
- Step 2: Allow the Tri-Tip to marinate for a minimum of 24 hours in the refrigerator.
- Step 3: Preheat the recteq to 225°F.
- Step 4: Allow the Tri-Tip to smoke on the recteq until it reaches an internal temperature of 125°F (about 2 hours).
- Step 5: Remove Tri-Tip and let it rest under a foil tent.
- Step 6: Raise the grill temperature to 500°F with the Sear Kit inside.
- Step 7: When grill reaches 500°F, put the Tri-Tip back on the recteq.
- Step 8: Raise the internal temperature of the Tri-Tip to 135°F for a medium rare roast.
