It's the perfect autumn dessert, made with fresh picked apples, crunchy granola, maple syrup, and a dash of citrus for the perfect contrast.
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat the recteq to 350°F.
- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the apples, cinnamon, cornstarch, maple syrup, orange juice and orange zest.
- Step 3: For the topping, thoroughly mix the soft butter with the granola, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon.
- Step 4: Lightly spray a cast iron skillet with non-stick spray. Add the apple mixture to the pan and cover evenly with the granola toppings.
- Step 5: Cook for 45-60 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the apples are soft; allow to rest for 30 minutes before servings.
