Celebrate the holiday flavors of Red Velvet in a delicious cookie straight from the grill! Our Red Velvet Cookies will be a hit for everyone during the festive season, or serve them up as a Valentine's themed treat once February rolls around.
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat recteq to 375°F.
- Step 2: Using an electric mixer, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Step 3: Add the red food coloring, vanilla, egg, and buttermilk. Continue to mix until well incorporated, scraping the sides of the bowl a few times with a rubber spatula.
- Step 4: In a small bowl combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Step 5: Slowly incorporate the flour mixture into the butter mixture. Once all the flour has been added, add the white chocolate chips and mix just until incorporated.
- Step 6: Shape the cookie batter into golf ball size balls, add to a non-stick cookie sheet.
- Step 7: Cook on the recteq for 10-12 minutes until the cookies are just set in the center. Allow the cookies to rest on the baking sheet 2 minutes after removing from the grill.
